This year we have donated eight holidays at Broadlands Park and Marina in Oulton Broad, giving the opportunity for vital family time away from the pressures of normal life. The charity believes that holidays are a lifeline, not a luxury. Many of the families who come and stay with us have never been away before. We are proud to assist in the opportunity to build memories and make a significant difference to these families, Broadlands Park and Marina is a great location for parents to unwind in the surroundings and children to enjoy the recreational areas along with nearby local attractions.

Feedback from this year again proves how beneficial the charity is and why we continue to support this fantastic cause:

“The holiday gave us a chance to breath we had a lot of changes and challenges in the past 18 months. The break was a chance to be ourselves and be with our children. There were no worries whilst on holiday and the children loved the freedom. We would like to say thank you so much for creating a space for us and our children where we can be happy and ourselves. It makes the challenges so much to overcome having had the time out”

Fran Heaney, one of our Reservation Advisors at Holidays for Allseasons, has been given the opportunity to run The London Marathon to raise money for The Family Holiday Association. She is looking to raise £1,700 through cake stalls on our holiday parks and various other events and social gatherings. Fran enjoys running in her spare time but will increase her distance in the new year to help her achieve the 26 miles required to complete the marathon on 28th April 2019.

This is something she has always wanted to do - “I would like to complete this in under four hours and raise even more awareness of the Family Holiday Association.”

In 2017, Holidays for Allseasons and Tingdene have teamed up with the Family Holiday Association, a charity that provides holidays for families in need.

"Thanks to the generosity of Holidays For Allseasons and Tingdene, in 2017 we were able to help 8 families have a fantastic short break. the breaks helped families dealing with some of the toughest challenges life can bring, including the effects of domestic violence and sexual abuse, as well as mental and physical health issues, challenges at school and isolation. the process has been very easy from our point of view, with staff always quick to reply and on hand to help with any questions."

"The break was a fantastic opportunity for us to take a break from the daily routine. The children were extremely excited, they always wanted to go away and felt very sad every September when they go back to school and listen to other children telling stories about their summer holiday. Now, they are very proud and could not wait to go back to school to tell their friends and teachers about their holiday. Although the holiday was the last weekend of the summer, we were very luck that the weather was nice. We had a great time when we came back, everybody was happy and relaxed."

"I tried swimming, I normally take the children to swim but never join them because I did not feel confident with my swimming skills and felt embarrassed. I was more confident at the less busy swimming pool there. I will go swimming and I will always join the children swimming at our local leisure centre."

"We all loved the bungalow and the space of the place. We enjoyed the beautiful surrounding gardens and it was great to see the boys just being themselves, exploring the area. The break made us realise we must try and spend more time together as a family."

"A break from routine and stress. Time to be together and have time out for each other. Seeing the boys and us relax, enjoying the lovely surroundings."
